Already in 1948 the World Health Organization recognized that not falling ill did not necessarily imply being healthy. Being healthy is not simply having strength and/or energy to perform day-to-day tasks. Only a holistic view of the Human Being can help you more efficiently: symptoms are signs of the body/mind, their language, and we need to understand them in a broad, holistic context (from Greek, holos = everything). To prevent imbalances, to recover that “state of complete physical, mental and social well-being” that WHO describes and to live a truly happy life, it is urgent that you know yourself and that you recover your power and ability to heal yourself. It is a path of (re)discovery of your natural fascinating Self and I am here to help you. Because ultimately your Health is in Your Hands, you need to know to choose well and wisely.
Holistic Consultation
In person or online, the Consultation is a deep reflection, usually 2 hours long, on the meaning of your symptom/s and together we will create the best plan for you to recover your balance (physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual), including one or all of the following – nutritional advice (Macrobiotics), movement/ breathing/ meditation skills to help in your recovery, Moxibustion (heat acupuncture), etc. (See Treatments section)
MACROBIOTICS – Balanced Cookery Lessons
For many years, I avoided using the term Macrobiotics to describe the food guidelines I would give at cookery courses or consultations. I used the expression Balanced Diet instead – after all, balance is the essence of the Macrobiotic philosophy. With much love and respect for George Oshawa, Michio and Aveline Kushi and so many other free-thinkers, this path of the Great Long Life (Macro meaning, long and Bios meaning, life) continues to surprise me with its up-to-date simplicity, unsurpassed over the years.
Our physical body is created on a daily basis out of what we eat, it is the result of our food choices, with unsuspected consequences at various levels.
“We are what we eat” is not an abstract concept but a very concrete reality!
